Somruedee’s journey with Banpu has been one of long-time commitment and dedication. She became Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Public Company Limited in 2015 after having joined the company for over three decades since the year of its formation. Starting from a humble beginning as an entry-level staff during Banpu’s early years, Somruedee has had the opportunity to involve herself in and explore almost every aspect of the company’s business. She has leveraged her insights and experiences to transform Banpu into a fully integrated energy company, focusing on upstream, midstream and downstream operations. Under her leadership, Banpu has expanded into new diverse energy offerings, including renewable energy and smart energy solutions, as part of the company’s ‘Greener & Smarter’ strategy. Somruedee’s ambition is to pursue a strong, sustainable and profitable growth for Banpu in Thailand and several countries across Asia-Pacific while building on the skills and expertise of the human resources as they are the vital force that drives the company forward.

Prior to her position as the company’s chief executive, Somruedee was appointed Chief Financial Officer, in which she demonstrated her expertise to lead the company’s financial department and earned a number of awards for herself, including “Best CFO” from acclaimed finance ranking institutions in Asia. Her outstanding financial management resulted in Banpu’s success in securing funding for BLCP Power Plant in Thailand and Hongsa Power Plant in Lao PDR. She also played a major role in having Banpu’s subsidiary Indo Tambangraya Mega Tbk (ITM) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the acquisition of Centennial Coal Company in Australia.

Somsak is a senior executive of Banpu with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. His professional expertise and achievements span across large-scale open pit mining operation, mine mouth power plant construction and operation and other large-scale project management with proven outstanding results in coal mining and power businesses. In 2013-2017, Somsak assumed the position of Managing Director at Banpu’s subsidiary Hongsa Power Company limited, the power plant with the highest capacity in Laos. Through his leadership and visionary approach, Hongsa Power Plant was able to deliver efficient construction management, engine synchronization and operational performance.

Somsak holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from Prince of Songkla University and a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and Strategic Management from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

Dr. Kirana joined Banpu Group as Head of Strategic Planning in 2009 to lead the team of strategic planners, while serving as the group’s Investment Committee to oversee corporate investment abroad. In early 2013, Dr. Kirana relocated to Australia to assist Banpu’s Australian and Chinese subsidiaries in their underground mining operations, which resulted in the companies’ success in significant cost cutting and streamlining. In 2015, Dr. Kirana transferred to Indonesia and assumed the role of President Director at the publicly listed PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITM), where he led the company to add over USD 750 million into retained earnings from 2016 to 2020. Since April 2020, Dr. Kirana has been in charge of the power generation business as Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Power PLC (BPP), a Banpu subsidiary which has power generation assets in various countries across the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Kirana has a successful record of academic achievements, including a doctorate from the University of Warwick and an executive MBA from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration.

Since 2018, Thiti has taken the positions of Head of Oil and Gas Business at Banpu Public Company Limited and CEO of Banpu North America Corporation, a Banpu subsidiary based in Colorado, the United States.

At the beginning of his career, Thiti was recruited by Shell in 1982 as a technical assistant in Exploration Department and became the first Thai Chief Surveyor in 1993. He has an excellent command of various fields, including exploration, information technology, retail and human resources with experiences of being posted abroad in the United Kingdom, Oman and Hong Kong. He was appointed the first Thai Human Resources Director for Indo-China Cluster and continued to serve in the position until 2008. Then, he joined Central Retail Corporation as Executive Vice President of Human Resources, during which he dedicated his professional life to overseeing the department in Thailand, China and Italy. Right before joining Banpu, Thiti was Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Business Services at PTT Exploration and Production Limited for around 8 years. Throughout his journey with Banpu, Thiti has leveraged his expertise, commitment and experience in leading the company toward success and earning a number of great results for the business.

As Head of Corporate Development, Sutee is poised to identify and oversee the company’s business potentials, investment and divestment decision making, strategic planning, risk management application and government relations. Prior to his current position, Sutee was appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer at Banpu Power PLC as well as Chief Operating Officer – Power Business and Senior Vice President – Corporate Finance at Banpu PLC.

With her well-rounded skill set, professionalism and managerial excellence, Arisara was promoted to Senior Vice President – Controller in 2016. As she continued to deliver a consistent string of outstanding results, Arisara managed to secure the position of Senior Vice President – Corporate Finance and subsequently Chief Financial Officer of Banpu in less than three years.

Mr. Wittapon has over 16 years of experience in senior management roles, working with large organizations both domestically and internationally in areas such as organization development, human resource management strategies, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate culture, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). In addition, he has also served in important roles in public sector such as an Honorary Experts of the National Innovation Agency, Human Resources Management Subcommittee of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and an advisor to Executive Committee of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation.

Jirameth started working at Banpu in the procurement department in 1992. With an outstanding learning curve and professional results in his role, he was promoted to Head of the department in 1997, and later assumed the position of Manager – Corporate System in 2006, where he developed key management systems to support the operations in international locations Banpu has undertaken.

With his expansive knowledge and experience in supporting units, Jirameth became Vice President – Corporate System in 2013 and was appointed Vice President – Human Resources in 2014-2015. He took over the position of Vice President – Business Process Management in 2015-2016, and subsequently Vice President – Corporate Compliance in 2016-2017. Jirameth attended several leadership programs and acquired a number of professional certifications from globally recognized organizations in Thailand and overseas, which in turn helped enhance the proficiency of the management systems and core business processes he was overseeing at Banpu. As a new generation executive, Mr. Sinon exhibits strong leadership, decisive decision-making, and a forward-thinking growth mindset. These qualities keep him at the forefront of the dynamic business world and enable him to adapt to ever-changing energy trends. Recognizing his capabilities, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., in 2022. The company is a subsidiary of Banpu providing “Smart Energy Solutions” in Asia-Pacific. Mr. Sinon takes the lead in driving strategic planning, strategy formulation, and the development and expansion of Banpu NEXT's business to achieve sustainable growth aligned with the Banpu Group's Greener & Smarter strategy, as well as ESG principles.

Mr. Virach Vudhidhanaseth joined Banpu as Investor Relations Manager in 2004 when the company was undergoing an accelerating growth and focused expansion of the core businesses. With Value Based Management (VBM) in place as a guiding framework, the investor relation practices under his supervision were carried out in the form of two-way communications in accordance with good corporate governance principles. In 2018, Virach took over the position of Corporate Secretary, in which he navigated Banpu toward its envisioned Greener & Smarter strategy with skill improvement and diversification initiatives. Now, as Head of Corporate Strategy, Virach is set to bring about another milestone during this strategic revolution at Banpu.

Prior to Banpu, Virach started his career as an economist. His solid background in fundamental analysis led him to taking the role of an equity analyst covering various industrial and consumer sectors.

During her term as Secretary of the Audit Committee, Wiyada helped steer Banpu toward achieving Audit Committee of the Year award from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) by embracing integrity, transparency and good governance throughout the company’s domestic and international operations.
